how to make a witness testimony for nvq 3

If you look around you will find materials on witness testimony reflective account and the like but concerning the question above... how to make or write a good witness testimony

A witness testimony should be like a direct observation. It should be an account of what was seen and heard.

I ask witnesses to read the criteria and write their account to fit if they can. For example saying "He was nice to Mr Y" doesn't cover anything but "She spoke clearly, listened to and respected Mr Y's

How would you identify and compare different types of evidence when making your assessment decisions

In simple terms you identify different types of evidence
during the planning process with your
candidate ie you look at how she is going to
provide evidence
1. By you observing
2. By you providing a candidate reflection
3. By obtaining witness statement
4. By you asking her questions.
You compare these different types by assessing
their strengths eg. No 1&4 would be strong
evidence as you are the assessor making the
judgment. No 3 would be strong or weak
depending who was

More reflective account Ideas

You can support them by talking to them, by making sure they have what they need to communicate with you, that you have any information they might need.
So you could start your reflective account by saying e.g.
I had noticed that resident x had not been very happy for a few days. i spoke to my manager and it was agreed that I would make time to talk to resident to find out if anything was wrong and also to use the opportunity that the service she was receiving was appropriate. I asked

Assessors Award and or the RMA

If you chose to do the assessors award and or the RMA you really need to meet certain criteria. Most good centres should assess candidates suitability for NVQ awards. With assessors you need to be occupationally competent (i.e. have an NVQ in care) and also relevant experience in the field. To do RMA you need to be in a role such as deputy or manager post to do it. Otherwise you will find it hard to collect the evidence required, In relation to your diploma, you could use it
